In 1953 Faller started using plastic in its models. The window -frames , doors and shutters are no longer made from cardboard and paper but are made of plastic.

The picture below is from railway station Neustadt and is a nice example .

This model is from 1953 and today difficult to become. The sign-board "Neustadt" as you see it here is very rare, the plastic letters are placed on a small plastic bar. The black fence has the same style as the green fence.

The balance in the model is very nice by using a silver roof on the left and a silver roof on the right of the main building.

The wooden figures are from preiser and they were hand-made.

Notice the green fence on the right in the picture below. It has the same structure as the black one on the other side of the building. All the cars are made by Wiking in the early sixties.The wooden figures are by Preiser.
