Faller 14
In the picture below you see Faller's first railway station model 14 from 1950. From 1952 is was called model 102
It was sold as a ready-made from 1950 till 1952. The architecture is very modern and minimalistic and I like its simplicity.
It has flat roofs which Faller already used in models under the name Marathon. Also the paper station-clock in black and green colours was a
heritage from Marathon.
The two wonderful birch trees are handmade by Faller in 1952.The wooden figures are handmade by Preiser in 1950.
The plastic cars are from Wiking. The grey jaguar sport was made by Wiking in 1955, the blue porsche 356 cabrio in 1961, the green vw beetle cabrio in 1955 and the DKW limousine rosé in 1961.
From LEGO you see a cyclist, a motor-cyclist and a scooter all made from plastic in 1956.
The wooden seat/bench in red was hand-made by Faller in about 1952. They were made only for a short period because in 1953 Faller already made them in plastic.
